About our Policy Work

BExA represents members' interests on day-to-day and policy issues relating to UK export and trade policy and on other specific trade and export-related issues raised by members. We are a valued contributor to, and are engaged with, many Government departments and committees to drive export policy forward.  These include the Department for International Trade and UK Export Finance, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, and attending the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Trade & Industry and Houses of Parliament Select Committees.   BExA is also an active member of the Joint Customs Consultative Committee (JCCC), the main forum for HM Revenue & Customs to consult trade on exports.  Where common interests exist, BExA also collaborates with other trade associations and export related bodies to lobby jointly on key issues.

Annual UK Export Finance Benchmarking

First published in 2010, the BExA Annual ECA Benchmarking Paper measures UK Export Finance, the UK's Export Credit Agency (ECA) against other ECA's around the world, and has become the go-to guide to determine how the UKEF product range compares.
